SuperStarters Club Team

SuperStarters Club teams are developmental tennis teams for kids ages 7-11, to continue to play, learn and grow through tennis. They are designed for kids who have been to at least one SuperStarters program or camp, can rally over the net at least three times, can hit an overhead serve (ok if not consistent yet), love tennis, and are looking to take the next step to improving their game. Club teams provide an opportunity for kids to have tennis fun with friends, improve strokes and court sense, learn how to keep score, and play points, games and matches in low-key and friendly atmosphere. The Club teams have three 6-week seasons, in the spring, summer and fall.

There are two club teams, downtown and Crozet. The downtown team plays at Albemarle High School and Darden Towe Park, while the Crozet team plays at Western Albemarle High School. Teams have regular practices and playdays, participating in fun, casual competition with other SuperStarters teams, or through local leagues. We focus on the trip skills of T-M-T — tennis, movement and teamwork, to help kids be better tennis players and better teammates in sports and in life! Play, learn and grow with Dr. E and SuperStarters! Join your first tennis team!

The next Club team season will be spring of 2016 between March – May. Club teams are by invitation only. Please contact us if you are interested in being considered for a team.

Shooting Stars

Shooting Stars is for adults who would like to learn to play tennis. This class teaches the basics of tennis: groundstrokes, volleys, serve, doubles play, and positioning, and incorporates fun games, movement drills and other ways to practice on your own.
